The aim of the course is to get to know Finnish grammar. The lectures introduce aspects of the
structure of the Finnish language, focusing on grammatical structures (syntax and morphology) and
their meanings (semantics). The course will concentrate on interesting points rather than on giving
a balanced picture of all the aspects of the Finnish grammatical system. The course will include
lectures, readings, and group assignments. No prior knowledge of Finnish is required.
