                                                               ABSTRAK 
                 2016.Vanessa Swastika Kusuma. Pengantar karya Tugas Akhir ini berjudul Perancangan Bilingual 
                 Coffee Table Book Solo International Peforming Arts (SIPA) Journey dan Media Pendukungnya. 
                 Adapun permasalahan yang dikaji adalah (1) Bagaimana merancang konsep table book SIPA yang 
                 dapat menarik minat audience? (2) Bagaimana merancang desain cover dan isi dari table book 
                 SIPA  agar  efektif  namun  tetap  memunculkan  karakter  etnik  yang  modern?  (3)  Bagaimana 
                 merancang media pendukung yang digunakan dalam launching / peluncuran table book SIPA 
                 yang efektif? Tujuan dari perancangan Buku SIPA Journey ini adalah untuk menjadi media utama 
                 dalam salah satu visi pelestarian budaya. Buku SIPA Journey merupakan jenis coffee table book dwi 
                 bahasa yang isinya perjalanan SIPA dari tahun ke tahun, lengkap dengan foto dokumentasi serta 
                 profil performer yang dikemas dengan layout yang simple namun elegan. Penyampaian materi pun 
                 juga disusun dengan gaya penggunaan tata bahasa yang sederhana dan mudah dipahami, sehingga 
                 pada  saat  pembaca  menikmati  isi  buku  ini,  pembaca  dengan  mudah  dapat  membayangkan  dan 
                 menyerap isi yang disampaikan. Pembaca juga biasanya akan lebih tertarik untuk membaca sebuah 
                 buku sampai habis, bila buku tersebut menampilkan foto yang menarik. Rasa keingintahuan dan 
                 penasaran akan mendorong pembaca untuk membaca sampai akhir. Dari hal inilah diharapkan buku 
                                                                                                   
                 ini dapat mengembalikan kembali minat membaca masyarakat, serta membawa kembali kesadaran

                                                               ABSTRACT 
                 2016.Vanessa Swastika Kusuma. This work is submitted as a final research work, entitled: The 
                 design of a final work project Bilingual Coffee Table Book of the Solo International performing Arts 
                 (SIPA), and supporting media. The problems to be solved in this work were: (1) How to prepare the 
                 concept of a table book for SIPA which would be interest and audience, and (2) How to design the 
                 cover and content of such a book so as to be effective, and be able to accurately portray a traditional 
                 ethnic character whilst being modern in concept. (3) How to design supportive media which could 
                 be used in the launch of such a book effectively. The design of this Book ‘SIPA Journey’ is to 
                 produce the main media material with a vision of cultural preservation. This book is aimed to be 
                 a coffee table style book in two languages following the history of SIPA events from year to 
                 year, complete with photographic illustrations and performers profiles complied in a simple yet 
                                                                                                      
                 elegant format. The material presented in this book has been described in a simple to understand 
                      
                 style to allow the reader to easily understand and enjoy. The reader would therefore be more 
                      
                      
                 likely to be interested in reading the whole book to the end due to the ease of reading this 
                      
                 illustrated style. It is meant to stimulate the curiosity of the reader to prompt him to read to the 
                      
                      
                 end, and it is hoped therefore to revive the interest among people so as to remind them of the
