A Summary of Chapters 1-6 of The Miraculous
Journey of Edward Tulane
We have been introduced to a china rabbit called Edward
Tulane, he is looked after by Abilene Tulane and her family.
The Tulane family treat Edward like a baby, apart from the
grandmother, Pellegrina.
Edward finds out that the Tulane family have decided to
relocate to London, but before they depart, Pellegrina tells
Abilene a story about a princess who did struggled to love.
Soon after, Edward set sail with Abilene and her family.
However, it was not a smooth journey, as two horrible boys
captured Edward from Abilene’s arms and somehow managed
to throw him overboard. Abilene was distraught and Edward
was afraid as he sunk lower and lower in the water.
