                                   Frequently Asked Questions 
             ➢ Where can I find study materials to prepare for the HESI Exam? Google HESI 
                and follow the links to study guides and HESI A2 online practice tests. 
             ➢ When and where do I take the test? At the Testing Center on the Main Campus.  
                Dates and Times will be listed on the MTC website: (Manateetech.edu) under the 
                ADMISSIONS tab, then testing center.  Call 941-751-7900 ext 1173.  
             ➢ How much does it cost?  $55 
             ➢ Do I need to register to take the HESI EXAM? You will be given instructions to 
                create your account when you sign up and pay for your test.  
             ➢ What subject areas does the HESI EXAM consist of?  The Dental Assisting 
                Program requires scores in Grammar, Math and Reading comprehension. 
             ➢ How long is the test?  Plan to be with us for 3 hours. 
             ➢ What can I bring into the testing site?  Photo ID, receipt of payment, reading 
                glasses and car keys only. Scrap paper will be provided.  
             ➢ What are the passing scores?  75% 
             ➢ How long must I wait to retake the HESI test?  3 months 
             ➢ If I took the HESI EXAM previously, will MTC accept it? MTC will accept an 
                official copy of your previous HESI EXAM within 3 years of our programs test date, 
                and it must come directly to us from HESI. 
             ➢ Will I get a copy of my EXAM results?  When you take the HESI EXAM at the 
                testing Center at the main campus the testing center will submit reports to student 
                services on your behalf.  Official copies must come from HESI.   
       
      Other EXAM Aids: 
      At MTC East Campus, Mrs. Barcena is available at different times of the day, Monday through 
      Thursdays for a one-time fee of $45.00. This includes one-on-one tutoring, access to a study site on 
      your home computer which is coordinated with the HESI study guide.
