I. Introduction
SBI released its notification for the post of Probationary Officers quite early this year,
leaving many students flabbergasted. Online registrations for this exam have already
started and they will close on 6th March 2017.
SBI PO is one of the most sought after exam of the country and every year 30-35 lakhs of
students appear for this exam. This year, SBI has released the notification for 2313
vacancies (+90 PWD vacancies) and students approximately in the ratio of 20 times the
number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Mains exam.

II. SBI PO Exam Details
As already mentioned, this year, SBI PO notification has been released for 2313 vacancies which is slightly
higher as compared to last year. There is no major change in the exam pattern this year.
Let us first have a look at some important dates for this exam.

B. Who all can apply for SBI PO Exam 2017?
Candidates should make sure that they fulfil the following eligibility criteria to apply for SBI PO Exam 2017.
1. Educational Qualification:
To apply for SBI PO 2017, a student should possess -
● Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such
by the Central Government.
● Students in their Final year/Semester of Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that,
if called for interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before
01.07.2017.
● Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is
on or before 01.07.2017.
● Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.
