      Research Questions:
           How to model the traffic flow in inland waterways?
           What is the state of the art of waterborne traffic flow 
             management and control?
           What are the similarities and differences of traffic flow 
             management/control of different  transport modes?

      Control(GNC)
     IWT affected by varying water 
        levels that limit the payloads of 
        the vessels due to insufficient 
        air draught under bridges, 
        (possibly forbidden navigation 
        in extreme high water periods)
     Research Questions: 
           How to model the motion of inland vessels considering the 
             effects of water depth along its voyage?
           What is the state of the art in the GNC scheme of inland 
             vessels?
           What are the similarities and differences in the GNC of inland 
             waterway vessels with seagoing vessels and road vehicles?
