                   The BSc (General Science) degree is a level 8 honours degree that students are eligible for after 
                   successfully completing stages 1 – 3 of the BSc degree programme.   Information on programme  
                   levels  can be found at at  http://www.ucd.ie/registry/academicsecretariat/progsnfq.htm). 
                  
                   Students who do not achieve a GPA of 2.48 or higher will automatically be put forward for a 
                   BSc (General Science) Degree, and are therefore not required to fill out the form. 
                  
                   Before completing and submitting this form you are strongly encouraged to seek 
                   advice from your School/Programme Office in the first instance in relation to your 
                   options. 
                  
                   The Degree Award calculation for the BSc (General Science Degree) will be based 70% on your 
                   final stage (Stage 3) and 30% on your penultimate stage (Stage 2). 
                  
                   Please return this completed form along with your student card to the Science Programme 
                   Office. Your confidentiality is assured. Only those people who will process your notification 
                   will have sight of this form. 
                  
                   Please note that if a student decides to withdraw from Stage 4 of the BSc degree programme, 
                   and exit with a BSc (General Science Degree) they would not normally be eligible to return to 
                   fourth year at a later date.
