Spencer Avenue School Council Lunch Days
Below are the Term 2 Lunch Dates. As a reminder Pizza and Pita Lunches will be served on THURSDAYS at
SECOND NUTRITION BREAK, Booster Juice days on TUESDAYS at FIRST NUTRITION BREAK, and Pasta Days
TUESDAYS at SECOND NUTRITION BREAK.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR LUNCH DAYS
Pizza/Cookie Day – Each pepperoni pizza is made by Johnny’s Pizza with turkey peperoni, dough made fresh daily
and homemade sauce. Each slice is 1/8th of a 16” pizza. Slices are $2.00/each. We offer two choices of cookie,
Chocolate Chip DeLite and Gluten Free chocolate chip. Cookies are prepared by Terra Cotta Cookie Company.
Cookies are peanut and nut free and are $2.00/each
Booster Juice Day – Each smoothie is hand crafted to keep students at their best throughout the day! Booster Juice's
Elementary School 8oz menu meets school nutritional standards across Canada. Smoothies are 3.00 /each
Pita/Fruit Cup Day – Each pita is custom prepared and has several options to make it the way you like. Please be
sure to complete the topping information when placing your order online. Pitas cost $5.50/each and can be
made “fork style” for $1.00. A gluten free option is also available for an additional $2.00. Fresh fruit cups are also
available for $2.50
Pasta Day – There are 4 different pasta options. 2 options will be available each Pasta Day. All Pasta, except
Lasagna will be macaroni noodles. Pasta Day 1 – Lasagna or Pasta with Butter. Pasta Day 2 – Mac ‘n Cheese or
Pasta with Marinara. Pasta is made by Quest for Cakes, in a nut free facility and meets school nutritional standards
for Ontario. All Pasta is $5.00 each except Pasta with Butter - $4.50; Gluten Free options (Lasagne not available) - $ 6.00
All food is nut free and complies with the new Healthy School Food and Beverage legislation, PPM150, which
dictates the level of fat, sodium, and protein in food that we can offer for sale to students in school. For more

HOW TO ORDER!
We are pleased to announce that last year Spencer Avenue had one of the highest rates of Cash
Online participation in all of UGDSB! Over 98% of our families are now enrolled. Thank you to
all of the families who have supported us in this transition!
Please take a few moments to place your lunch order online.
If you haven’t yet set up an account, here’s how to register:
Step 1: Go to this website: https://ugdsb.schoolcashonline.com
Step 2: Register by selecting “Get started today” and follow the steps
Step 3: After you receive the confirmation email, select the “click here” option,
sign in and add each of the children to your household account.

4. Contact our School Council at sc.spencerave@ugdsb.on.ca to make alternative arrangements
for support.
Please remember: If a student is absent on a food day, the perishable food item(s) they have ordered
will not be saved, but considered a donation to school council.
PARENTS, please mention to your children that if they have a problem with their order, they can and
should come to the office right away so that we can address the problem immediately. All food order
forms are kept in the school council kitchen to be used as a reference. We can't fix the problem if we
don't know about it!
