CONCLUSION ANDSUGGESTION
A. Conclusion
As explanation in chapter I, the purpose of this research was to describe about
kinds of activities in applying positive discipline used by English teachers in the
classroom management and how the English teachers using positive discipline in the
classroom management. The researcher tried to look the answer of research question
about kinds and ways of teachers used positive discipline in the classroom
management. In order to get the purpose of this research, the researcher had used the
technique of data collection based on the explanation in chapter III. This research has
been done in observation section and interview section by the researcher. The
researcher conducted this research in SMA N 1 Sungai Rumbai by using descriptive
method as a design of this research. This research has been taken from three English
teachers who taught English in SMA N 1 Sungai Rumbai. The researcher had done

this research from September 29 until 11 October 2016.
Based on technique of data collection, the researcher concluded that there are
some kinds and ways that were used by the teachers in applying positive discipline. It
could be found some findings; there are three English teachers that used positive
discipline in the classroom management. Three English teachers used kinds of
activities in applying positive but not all the indicators that apply by English teachers.

The English teachers used positive discipline in the classroom with different
ways. It can be seen from data analysis that has been interpreted before. Data from
interview showed that the teachers have known about positive discipline as general.
Although as a theory, the teachers didn’t know about kinds of activities in applying
positive discipline specifically. The researcher found that not all the teachers used
kinds of positive discipline in the classroom. But generally the teachers had used
positive discipline in the classroom management but the teachers need to add
knowledge about kinds and ways of using positive discipline to build students
discipline in the classroom. All the teachers have different ways in applying positive
discipline, depend on the situation in the classroom.
B. Suggestion
After doing the research and getting finding of this research and analyzing the
collected the data, the researcher wants to give suggest in this researcher. Firstly, all
of teachers have to understand that classroom management is the key of teaching
learning process and it is part of their important role in teaching. By understanding it,
the researcher will realize that their task come to the class is not an easy ask but
complex task. Second, the teachers also need to know about some supporting
elements of classroom management that will help them in creating good and
conducive classroom activities. Then, teachers also have way to reduce students
misbehave in the classroom. Thirdly, related to research finding, the researcher
suggest that the teachers must be able to understand about kinds of activities and how

to applying positive discipline with effectively. Overall, this research informs us that
by implementing positive discipline effectively and often used in the classroom, the
students’ discipline and positive behavior can be increased and the negative behavior
of students can be reduced especially when teaching learning process in the classroom
or activity in the school.
