                             FORESTSCAPING – SCOPE OF WORK, TERMS AND CONDITIONS 
        KEY DETAILS: 
           •   Total Area = ________ sq m. 
           •   Minimum forest cover will be 90% of the total area.  
           •   10% (or as agreed) space allocated for walkway, maintenance path and sitting space. 
           •   Plantation density = minimum 3 saplings per square meter. 
           •   Minimum number of individual saplings to be planted = ________ (area X density). 
           •   Maintenance will be the client’s responsibility. Maintenance guidelines will be provided by 
               Afforestt. If AMC is given to Afforestt, then maintenance will be Afforestt’s responsibility.  
        Forestscaping cost includes: 
           1) Afforestt’s technical expertise, skill, knowledge and experience in forest creation using Miyawaki 
               method.  
           2) Soil assessment and study to determine most suitable soil nourishment techniques.  
           3) Creation of database of Potential Natural Vegetation (PNV) and quantification as per Miyawaki 
               method of forest creation. 
           4) Restore soil health using organic materials that enhance its aeration, water retention, nutrients 
               and food-web (microbiology). 
           5)  Seedlings of native species. For any climate and soil, minimum density will be 3 saplings per 
               square meter.  
           6) Most appropriate machinery for earth work i.e. soil preparation up to a minimum depth of 1 
               meter.  
           7) Manpower for all the forest creation related work with necessary tools and equipments.  
           8) Most appropriate soil mulching material. The entire forest floor will be covered with mulch during 
               forest creation.  
           9) Sticks for saplings that need support. 
           10)Forest design, subject to client’s approval. The design will be made in order to maximize forest 
               accessibility and create an interesting personal experience. It will provide for walkway(s) and 
               sitting space(s).  
           11)Creation of walkway and sitting space using simple organic and earthy materials only. 
           12)Assessing  overall  health  and  growth  for  a  period  of  1  year.  In  1  year  the  forest  will  get 
               established.   
                  
     13)Afforestt will openly share the methodology of forest-creation and any person(s) nominated by 
       the client will be trained to become forest-creators.  
    Client’s responsibilities - Following Prerequisites to be met, before the project is commissioned: 
     1) Site readiness to be ensured (as per the annexure Site_Readiness_Checksheet.pdf).  
     2) If site does not consist of soil, then soil replacement is to be done.  
     3) A proper water supply connection to be provided.   
     4)  Lights for the forest (if required).  
     5) Security staff and fencing.   
     6) The team on ground and the site itself should have all necessary legal approvals for forest 
       creation. 
     7) Original drawing in AutoCad format to be provided.  
     8) Approval to implement the Miyawaki method in its purest form with no deviation or change to the 
       standards being followed by Afforestt. 
     9) Forest will be maintained by as per the standard maintenance guidelines provided to the client by 
       Afforestt.
