                  Capilano University administers a number of awards that support students who demonstrate leadership 
                  qualities.  These awards are listed in the Scholarships, Bursaries & Awards Guide under the 
                  Demonstrated Leadership category. 
                  To be considered for these awards:

                      1.  Complete the online Scholarships, Bursaries, Awards application
                      2.  Submit an essay on the topic below
                  Essay Topic 
                  Most of us have had to overcome some challenges in our lives. Describe a challenge that you have 
                  experienced and how you used your leadership skills to overcome it. What impact did your leadership 
                  have? Be sure to connect how the challenge and your leadership abilities relates to your field of study 
                  and/or your service to the university community or community at large.  
                  Essay Instructions: 
                      •   Type an essay (maximum of 4 pages, double spaced) on the above topic
                      •   At the top of your essay include:
                                Your Full name
                                Your Student ID
                                The essay topic
                      •   Edit and proofread your essay
                      •   Submit your essay to the attention of “Financial Aid and Awards – Spring 2023 Awards”
