Biography Professor Wilson was a graduate of the University of South Australia. Later,
he completed a Master of Science under the supervision of Sir Douglas
Mawson in the same state. Following his placement at the University of
Western Australia, Professor Wilson was appointed head of the Department of
Geology and Mineralogy at the University of Queensland, 1960 to 1986.
