Overview
• By definition, progress means change and future is marked by evolution and
continuous improvement. But change is not always comfortable and
acceptable. It may challenge the organization’s routine, people’s
assumptions and everyday practices and ways they are used to doing and
seeing things.
• Change requires making a serious analysis of the past and current
developments while having in mind the larger picture of the future
perspectives and eventual results. And because outcome of education and
educational efforts is always turned to the future it means that change is an
immanent characteristic.
Change management
Definitions of Speaking about organizational change we should differentiate
between the “process” or change model organization is going to follow, and the
“transition” or affecting impact when embarking on a change effort.
Change management is a structured approach to transitioning individuals, teams,
and organizations from a current state to a desired future state, to fulfill or
implement a vision and strategy. It is an organizational process aimed at
empowering people involved to accept and embrace changes in their current
environment.
