    You may think that an online search to collect many 
     sources is sufficient evidence of research.
    Doing a series of online searches is not research. 
      You must understand what you have read and reflect 
     on its
      use in helping you make choices along your inquiry
      journey.
    AN ANNOTATED 
    BIBLIOGRAPHY IS A TOOL 
         • Help students evaluate 
          and reflect on sources 
          they found according to 
          their topic.
         • It is NOT part of the 
          ACADEMIC PAPER
      Provides the reader with an 
      ordered list of sources for 
      additional reading.
         Provides brief explanations of                 PURPO
         why each source is credible and

         AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY EXAMINES EACH 
         SOURCE BASED ON ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE TOPIC. 
         AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY MUST ORGANIZE 
         SOURCES ALPHABETICALLY.
         AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY ALLOWS THE READER 
         TO CHOOSE WHETHER TO EXPLORE THE AVAILABLE 
         SOURCES OR NOT ON THEIR OWN.
