                                                                          * Haryana has 2 Regulatory Authorities i.e. one for Gurugram and other at Panchkula for rest of Haryana. 
                                                                          ** Earlier RERA was not applicable in Jammu & Kashmir. “The Jammu & Kashmir Real Estate (Regulation 
                                                                          and Development) Act, 2018” was enacted by Government of Jammu & Kashmir and it was in force. 
                                                                          However, this Act was repealed by Jammu & Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019. Soon, RERA will be notified 
                                                                          in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh after reorganization comes in force. 
                                                                           
                                                                          *** West Bengal has enacted its own Act namely 'West Bengal Housing Industry Regulation Act, 2017' 
                                                                          however,  state  has  been  advised  by  MoHUA  to  notify  the  rules  under  Real  Estate  (Regulation  & 
                                                                          Development) Act, 2016. 
                                                                           
                                                                          Summary: 
                                                                                            30 States/UTs have notified rules under RERA; 4 North Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, 
                                                                                             Nagaland and Sikkim are under process to notify the rules). 
                                                                                            29 States/UTs have set up Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Regular - 21, Interim - 08) (Lakshadweep 
                                                                                             is under process to establish). 
                                                                                            23  States/UTs  have  set  up  Real  Estate  Appellate  Tribunal  (Regular  -14,  Interim  –  09)  (Assam, 
                                                                                             Chhattisgarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Mizoram and Lakshadweep are under process to establish). 
                                                                                            Regulatory Authorities of 24 States/UTs have operationalised their websites under the provisions of 
                                                                                             RERA.  (Assam,  Kerala,  Lakshadweep,  Manipur,  Puducherry  &  Tripura  are  under  process  to 
                                                                                             operationalize). 
                                                                                            45,817 Real Estate Projects and 36,172 Real Estate Agents have registered under RERA across the 
                                                                                             country.
