              Intensive Turkish Courses – Summer 2021
                                  
       An  intensive  Turkish  course  will  be  organized  to  help  those  who  want  to  study,  do
       research, and work in Turkey.
       Turkish Language:
       Turkish is a well-established language known to have been spoken since the earliest
       periods of history. Today, Turkish is spoken by more than 200 million people spread over
       a wide geography in the world, and it is a world language rich in expression power and
       number of active words. Having interacted with many languages over time, Turkish has
       been divided into various branches and one of these branches is Turkey-Turkish. Those
       who learn Turkey-Turkish will not only get to know the rich Turkish culture but also have
       come a long way in understanding the branches of Turkish spoken in other countries.
       Education Process in TÖMER:
       Uşak University Turkish Teaching, Application and Research Center is a language center
       that prepares various programs on the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language and
       teaches Turkish to thousands of international students from all over the world with its
       staff, who are expert in their field, and experienced in language teaching techniques. In
       this  center,  all  lessons  held  face-to-face  and/or  online  are  taught  interactively  and
       supported by the course materials and innovative equipment.
       Summer Term Intensive Turkish Courses
       Target group:
       Our intensive  Turkish  courses,  which  aim  to  teach  basic  grammar  rules  and  Turkish
       communication skills in a short time, have two main target groups:
       1. Students and lecturers of universities that have bilateral relations with Uşak University:
       With this course, it is planned to contribute to the acquisition of basic Turkish language
       skills  of  students  and staff who want to study or teach in Turkey within the scope of
       exchange programs.
       2.  Individuals  currently  working  or  planning  to  work  in  Turkey:  With  this  course,  it  is
       planned to contribute to the individuals who work or intend to work in Turkey in line with
       the increasing need for employment in Turkey to acquire basic Turkish language skills.
       Important Dates:
       Application Period: May 26th - June 11th, 2021
       Course Period: June 14th - July 30th, 2021
     Intensive Turkish lessons can be conducted in three ways:
     1. A1-A2 beginner level intensive Turkish lessons are held online or face to face. Courses
     are taught using electronic books and course materials. The course duration is 140 hours
     and lasts 7 weeks. The course fee is 700 TL (~ $ 90).
     2.  B1-B2 intermediate level intensive Turkish lessons are held online or face to face.
     Courses are taught using electronic books and course materials. The course duration is
     140 hours and lasts 7 weeks. The course fee is 700 TL (~ $ 90).
     3.  C1-C2  advanced  level  intensive  Turkish  lessons  are  held  online  or  face  to  face.
     Courses are taught using electronic books and course materials. The course duration is
     140 hours and lasts 7 weeks. The course fee is 700 TL (~ $ 90).
     P.S. Intensive Turkish lessons at the above levels will be mainly focused on speaking.
     About Intensive Turkish Lessons
     Lessons will be taught online or face-to-face through the Zoom program, optionally for 4
     days 5 hours on weekdays, or 4 hours on weekdays for a total of 20 hours per week.
     About the Final Exams of the Course
     At the end of the intensive Turkish lessons, online or face-to-face final exams will be held.
     These  exams  will  consist  of  reading  comprehension,  listening,  writing,  and  speaking
     sections. Students who pass the exam will be awarded a certificate of participation.
     Registration for the Intensive Turkish Course
     In  order  to  make their final registration for the intensive Turkish course, students are
     required to send the following documents to the Turkish Language Teaching, Application
     and Research Center by sending an email to tomer@usak.edu.tr: 
     1. A copy of their passport (or national ID), 
     2. Filled and signed course registration form, and 
     3. Payment statement for the course fee.  The payments will be made to the following
     bank account in Turkish Liras (TL) (TR360001001758517844115022 - Ziraat Bankası) 
     After the course registration, the contact numbers will be added to the WhatsApp group
     and Turkish course instructors will communicate with the students via WhatsApp to inform
     them about what to do in the next steps.
