Course Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, students will will demonstrate knowledge of the relationship of
nutrients with the body’s needs, specific nutrient roles, and understand the anatomy and
physiology of the human body as it relates to nutrition for everyday life, exercise and disease
states.
Grading Standard: Grading Standards; the course grade will be determined as follows:
A = 92-100% C+ = 76-78%
A- = 89-91% C = 70-75%
B+ = 86-88% D = 60-69%
B = 82-85% F = ˂60%
B- = 79-81%
Grading Breakdown:
• Tests are worth 35% of your grade
• Discussions are worth 10% of your grade( online)
• Attendance is worth 10 % of your grade (face to face)
• Final Research paper is worth 15% of your grade
• Diet & Wellness Analysis is worth 10% of your grade
• Mind Tap Homework Assignments are worth 30% of your grade

student success in this course and has a 10% impact on the final grade. During class sessions,
students are encouraged and expected to participate in discussions, take notes, and join in
topic-related group class work. There is no make-up testing. Valid documentation in the event
of illness or emergency is required for the consideration of make-up exams.

in this course and has an impact on the final grade. You are expected to engage in the course
in CANVAS no less than three times per week. There is no make-up testing. Valid
