Solar system consists of
the sun,the eight planets
and their satellites and
millions of smaller celestial
objects such as Asteroids,
comets and meteorites.
According to their order,
the planets are Mercury,
Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,
Saturn,Uranus,Neptune.
THE SUN
The sun is a star having
a system of planets
around it.
The sun is an extremely
hot object having
temperature 6000 degree
celcius and consists mostly
of Hydrogen gas.
The sun is the main source
of heat and light to Earth.
PLANETS
Heavenly bodies that
revolve around the sun
in an elliptical path
called orbits are known
as planets.
They reflect sunlight
that’s why look bright.
They are divided into
two categories-
the terrestrial and the jovian planets.
TERRESTRIAL PLANETS
:MERCURY (BUDH)
It lies closer to the sun.
It’s a dry ,hot,airless
planet.
It is known as MORNING or
EVENING STAR because it
visible just before sunrise
or immediately after the
sunset.
It takes 88 days to complete
one revolution.
VENUS(SHUKRA)
It is the brightest object
in our universe after the
sun and moon.
Its surface is hotter than
