Approaches to Performance Appraisal
1. Old Performance Appraisal Approach
This approach is dated back to 20th century. Performance appraisal is
basically to assess the justification of payment for employees.
2. Contemporary Performance Appraisal
This approach introduced structured formal performance appraisal system
through which subordinate’ performance is appraised by his supervisor that
usually takes place as designed by the organisation.
