Solar Energy in Transportation – What is it?
       -   We researched using solar energy to improve transportation 
           methods. 
       -   Solar energy is currently being developed to provide solar 
           roadways, cars, buses, and even planes. 
       -   Solar energy helps reduce waste and harmful gases into the 
           environment.
       -   Helps make transportation more efficient.

  -   This is relevant for the human race 
      because using solar energy pollutes the air 
      much less than the emissions from cars.
  -   The sun is a never-ending source of 
      energy, while fossil fuels aren’t unlimited. 
  -   Creating solar powered transportation will 
      result in a major amount of jobs being 
      created compared to other industries.

                Relevance of Solar Energy in Transportation
        -   The people most heavily impacted by this would be everyone 
            involved with the oil and gas companies as they would not be 
            required to be open anymore. 
        -   Many gas stations would need to be converted to charging stations 
            which creates new jobs. 
        -   The price of an average solar powered car is estimated to be about 
            $200,000. While people would save on gas, it would be a large 
            upfront investment.

                    History of Solar Powered Transportation
      -   Research teams have been designing cars with built in solar panels 
          to generate energy that powers the cars engine. 
      -   A solar team, Solar Team Eindhoven, has designed a solar powered 
          car that seats four people.
      -   The car is so energy efficient that it can generate more energy than it 
          uses to drive, over the course of a year.
